SHOW OF LIGHT PUPPETS AND GIANT OCTOPUS

wordless puppet performance for children and family audience

technique - LED and El-wire string marionettes, giant, hand and experimental puppets

duration - 60 min

Funny and unpredictable wordless puppet show featuring a stunning variety of innovative electro-luminous objects. Unique marionettes, giant, rod, hand and experimental puppets will entertain and delight the whole family. This is the second performance of the Nikolai Zykov Theater, consisting only of electric light puppets measuring from 1 to 8 meters and capable of surprising the most demanding spectators of any age. This is a bright and unforgettable show program of light puppets, stunning with its new creative ideas. In an unpredictable kaleidoscope of very different light miniatures, everyone will find something of their own. The program of the show is designed as a continuation of the journey into the world of contemporary puppetry art, where each miniature is a new unexpected turn, revealing new possibilities of this unique genre. In this performance, puppets are born right in front of an amazed audience, and adults become children again. Having plunged to the bottom of the ocean together with a giant octopus, having lost the sense of space and time, they regain the possibility of sincere surprise and genuine delight. The unique performances of the Nikolai Zykov Theater are gathering full halls all over the world with invariable success. Critics call these shows "like a discovery", and Nikolai Zykov "one of the most significant puppeteers in the world."

Nikolai Zykov is an artist of the world stage, who has delighted spectators in more than 50 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America, has created more than 200 unique puppets, glove, rod and experimental puppets. Nikolai is the author, director, artist and performer of more than 30 puppet shows with many international awards for innovative creativity and outstanding performance, including awards of the UNIMA World Puppeteers Congresses.

The inspiration for all the images of this show are the most modern LEDs and electroluminescent wires, and they are also the constructive basis of the puppets themselves. All the puppets in the performance glow themselves, and have new structural elements made of composite carbon fiber in their structure. In this performance, giant volumetric figures are created from LED drops in front of the eyes of the audience, and then they easily soar above the stage and the audience. For the first time, viewers will see a 3D marionette made entirely of electroluminescent wires. New neon “weather vane” puppets will help you enjoy the beauty of the world of bright coral reefs. New unusual sensations will be presented to the audience by a construction made of unique “dynamic LED drops”.
